False Prophet is a coldwave, industrial, minimal synth crew that grew out of Audiodrome, a monthly DJ night, hosted by Sharlese Metcalf and Kate Moore at Capitol Hill’s iconic Pony in 2013.

When the two met, Sharlese was a member of Second Sight; the crew held events at the legendary Electric Tea Garden. After Kremwerk opened its doors in 2014, the cutting-edge arts venue gave Sharlese and Kate the opportunity to host bands and artists from around the world.

They cultivated a scene unlike anything else happening in Seattle’s vibrant music community, hosting a variety of bands and artists including Xeno & Oaklander, Black Marble, BOAN, Regis, Bryan Zentz, Soft Metals, Haunted Horses, Silent Servant, Raica, Vice Device, and others.

In 2015 Sharlese and Kate added a pair of fresh talent to the team: graphic designer Lisa Hammond and photographer, selector, and Rare Air curator DJ Explorateur. False Prophet currently DJs and hosts shows in their beloved Pacific Northwest hometown of Seattle.
