Tom Kha Kremfest Showcase ft. Paint, Doctor Jeep, Greazus & More

Paint (tsuruda x Huxley Anne)
https://paintofficial.bandcamp.com/releases
A progressive electronic duo, formed in 2016 by seasoned beatsmith Tsuruda & experimental artist Huxley Anne, PAINT incorporates all aspects of both member’s creativity. Their style draws largely on abstract hip-hop, jazz, bass, and grime influences, but unites these elements into seamlessly painted soundscapes that stand out in the modern sea of electronic music. Their powerful rhythms, colored nuances, and expressive lead synth tones ignite in the PAINT live show, where you can often find the duo mashing custom visuals together while spinning tracks back to back. Following the release of their Blood EP in January 2016, PAINT splattered onto the West Coast bass scene with support from G Jones & Penthouse Penthouse, while simultaneously gaining support from European heavy-hitters Noisia, Feed Me, and Ivy Lab. The duo continues to explore a seemingly infinite field of emotion while painting with an electronic kaleidoscope of visuals and music.

Doctor Jeep

Doctor Jeep is a 27-year old Brooklyn resident known to most as Andre Lira. While attending college in Boston he quickly gained notoriety as one of the city’s most eclectic young selectors, mixing everything from drum & bass, dubstep, and uk garage to techno, electro, and classic house. With DJ sets mixing the past, present, and future of dance music in some of America’s best clubs, and festival appearances at Outlook, Bass Coast, Bonnaroo, and EDC, he has proven to adapt to any vibe and make it his own style of party.

Production-wise, Jeep’s music has been described as “a style somewhere between the forward-thinking bass mutations of Cosmic Bridge, the grinding 808 electro of Swamp81, and the breakbeat-heavy sound of early 90′s UK rave music.” With releases on a wide range of international labels such as NYC's Trouble & Bass (R.I.P.), Vancouver’s Aufect Records, and Nottingham's Tumble Audio, and support from tastemaking DJs such as Claude VonStroke, Shy FX, Hannah Wants, J:Kenzo, Machinedrum, and My Nu Leng to name a few, the future looks bright for this multifaceted producer.

GREAZUS

This is the shared vision of two of the city’s most renowned and prolific bass music ambassadors - HxdB & Patrik Cure. Individually, both are accomplished music producers with established credentials and releases on well-known labels like Tectonic, Brownswood and Mindset. Together they have combined their shared experiences and passion for music, to create a uniquely infectious sound, paying homage to their Jungle, Drum & Bass and Hip Hop roots, while fusing elements of Juke, Footwork and Grime.

About Tom Kha Music
Already widely regarded as one of the world's great soups, Tom Kha also works hard throwing bass music events in the Seattle area.
