Noise Complaint and the Kremwerk/Timbre Room Complex are proud to present, two rooms of thoughtfully curated music featuring:
🇦🇺 MOTEZ 🇦🇺
We know Motez from his stint on Holy Ship and the ensuing Ship2Ship tour back in 2014 where he ended up playing a packed afterhours party with us and our friends until the wee hours of the morning alongside Destructo, Anna Lunoe, & T.Williams. A completed sweetheart in person, but a beast behind the decks - we were instant fans.
Motez' soundscape pushes the boundaries of your regular house producer, going way back before he was making wholesome, wall-to-wall club cuts and rocking festivals stages. His classical piano know how and clear influences of the 90's allows him to flex his skills and musical-taste across all of his releases, chalking up six Hype Machine #1s and dropping official remixes for Disclosure, Sam Smith, Goldlink and Ellie Goulding. 2016 & 2017 also saw Motez join Diplo & Friends, Beats1 Radio and triple j Mix Up Exclusives to lay down his favorite selections.
Following the success of 2016's The Vibe EP, which included the Tkay Maidza collaboration 'Down Like This͛, 2017 saw Motez showcase his ever-evolving production abilities through his first release 'Praise', followed by a fresh offering in 'The Future'. After having spent much of the past two years in the studio writing and recording, sonically 'The Future' is a new progression for Motez, featuring the uplifting vocals of Antony & Cleopatra interwoven between verses, while a South Australian children͛s choir take the chorus to new heights. Three years in the making, 'The Future' is Motez' most personal offering to date, receiving support from BBC-R1, KCRW, Live105 and triple j.
On the road and to the stage, Motez has played to thousands at Field Day, Holy Ship, EDC, HARD Summer and Electric Forest, fronted main support duties for Disclosure, RÜFÜS DU SOL and Fatboy Slim, and filled clubs all over Australia, North America and Europe. Between his own releases and remixes, Motez' last 12 months has included a sold out Australian 'The Future' Tour, another two trips to North America and a return to the UK & Europe. Motez welcomed 2018 with a sold out national festival tour with Fatboy Slim & Gorgon City, as well as a main-stage slot on Mountain Sounds Festival, signaling the beginning of a big year ahead.
For us, we could not be more excited to bring Motez out - he has an incredible story having been an Iraqi refugee as a small child and proof that love conquers all and music knows no boundaries. The fact that we get to experience him in a small, intimate venue is just icing on the cake and the fact that we are the ones bringing him in - well - someone pinch us. Buckle up and hold on tight - this is going to be one wild ride!

🔇 ABOUT NOISE COMPLAINT 🔇
Gone is the party where the music and the people at the party mattered more than making money. As Electronic Dance Music has exploded in popularity over the last several years, so have crowds and ticket prices along with it. In the beginning, events were held in underground, often intimate venues. It was about the music, and it was about each other.
Noise Complaint is taking it back to its roots, bringing the people quality, dance floor focused house and techno all while pushing that party-don't-stop vibe that everyone loves. We're bringing in huge talent - DJs and producers that are well known and respected but that we also personally vibe with. We're doing this at a small price, and in an intimate space. It's about the music for us, it's about the party and the vibe and the memories and friends you will make. Every Noise Complaint should be the best party you've been to since well, the last Noise Complaint.
We're more than just a party, we're a movement. Join us 2nd Fridays at Kremwerk and become part of the family.
