NITE SCHOOL PRESENTS
Thursday, September 17th NITE SCHOOL :: Blone Noble, Hot Hail!, Ononos, + dj Candy Whiplash
NITE SCHOOL is proud to announce Blone Noble’s ‘DOMINATOR 2026’ tour
Throughout the latter half of September 2026, the tour will bring Blone Noble’s icy atmospheric artfulness and raw magnetism to the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada, with more dates in the U.S. South to be announced soon.
Seattle’s Hot Hail! will be providing tour support through the September leg with their mix of infectious dark synthpop and post-punk political fury, with NITE SCHOOL co-founder dj Candy Whiplash curating unique underground dance selections to keep showgoers moving all night.
With this tour, NITE SCHOOL expands its nearly sixteen-year legacy of immersive programming, adventurous booking, and community-building in Austin, TX to the Pacific Northwest, and beyond.

BLONE NOBLE
Blone Noble embodies the classic tradition of the frontman as visual artist. There is Bowie’s instinct for reinvention, Bryan Ferry’s immaculate glamour, and the louche elegance of Britain’s great art pop frontmen. Everything appears considered. The clothes. The movement. The light. The pose. The stage becomes part nightclub, part theatre, part art piece.
Behind the carefully constructed image is something less controlled. Blone Noble has the raw, magnetic energy of someone who understands that artifice only becomes interesting when you can see something dangerous moving underneath it.
There are traces of Frank Tovey’s art school experimentation here, and something of the strange, elegant world occupied by Japan and Dali’s Car. Romantic. Cerebral. Decadent. Beautiful but slightly alien.
And then there is the beat.
Synthesizers move from icy atmosphere into dance floor propulsion. Taut rhythms and decadent pop hooks give the music a physical, seductive quality even when everything surrounding them feels cerebral and deliberately strange. Blone Noble understands that experimentation does not have to stand motionless in an art gallery. Sometimes it belongs in a dark room full of people dancing.
From the swaggering provocation of DOMINATOR to the darker, more interior world of new single Subterranean World, Blone Noble continues to mutate. The image changes. The atmosphere grows thicker. The beat remains.
HOT HAIL!
Seattle's Hot Hail! combines classic Synthpop sensibilities, modern Darkwave maximalism, and fierce Post-Punk politics to create a powerful synthesis of horror, humanity, and humor. Featuring songwriter Billy Sigil (they / them), and DJ Emilio Cerrillo (he / him), Hot Hail! is the perfect music for starting, then quickly ruining, any party.
Their newest album, ‘HOPE IN HELL,’ expands Hot Hail!'s sound even further into anthemic ultra-catchy synthpop, while simultaneously grappling with themes of how we keep our sanity and humanity intact in the face of fascism.
“Filthy, smart, enjoyably sick in the head, and almost perversely elegant. In Hot Hail!’s deft hands, pop provides both pleasure and political provocation. If you’re looking for the musical zeitgeist in these troubling times, Hot Hail! delivers. Like lightning in a jar of blood."
~ PostPunk,com
“Hot Hail! arrives less as a continuation of the synth-pop/dancefloor tradition, but more as its savior. Too seductive to be labeled merely synth-pop, too aware to be simply dance music, too relevant to be post-punk, and, sadly, perhaps a bit too smart to go mainstream, Hot Hail! is as unexpected as it is brilliant.”
~ The Big Takeover
(Seattle show opener at Cherry)
ONONOS is a mangled dark disco experience led by composer and producer, Ross Marshall and vocalist and composer Marcus Wilson, based in Seattle. Described as "Pulsing, sexy future-synth" by The Stranger, ONONOS’ sound and aesthetic expand upon elements of synth-punk, mutant-disco, no-wave, and post-punk dance music.
Candy Whiplash & NITE SCHOOL
Candy Whiplash is the co-founder, curator, resident DJ, and creative director of NITE SCHOOL, the acclaimed underground music series she built alongside her late partner, Seattle-born DJ Scorpio RX, nearly sixteen years ago in Austin, Texas. Together they launched NITE SCHOOL at Beauty Bar before establishing its longtime home at Cheer Up Charlie's, one of Austin's most influential queer live music and DJ venues, where the night became a cornerstone of Austin's underground electronic music scene through internationally acclaimed live performances, adventurous DJs, and a fiercely loyal community.
As NITE SCHOOL's creative director, Candy Whiplash developed the event's distinctive minimalist visual identity while overseeing its branding, marketing, photography, graphic design, artist relations, and promotion. Under the creative direction of Scorpio RX and Candy Whiplash, NITE SCHOOL became known for championing the cutting edge of underground electronic music, presenting darkwave, post-punk, synth-pop, EBM, industrial, techno, noise, experimental, and genre-defying electronic artists from around the world.
Behind the decks, Candy Whiplash is known for emotionally charged, dancefloor-driven sets spanning French electronic dance music, goth, coldwave, darkwave, EBM, industrial, post-punk, no wave, mutant disco, Italo disco, synthpop, techno, and Spanish-language darkwave, weaving together classic influences with contemporary underground sounds.
Following the passing of Scorpio RX in Austin in January 2024, Candy Whiplash revived NITE SCHOOL by popular demand, honoring its original vision while ushering the event into a new chapter. Now making its Seattle debut, NITE SCHOOL continues its nearly sixteen-year legacy of immersive programming, adventurous booking, and community-building in the Pacific Northwest.
